He said the United States “practically” has an agreement on selling the short tiktok video app.

Last month, Trump extended until September 17 the deadline for Bytedance, based in China, to stop Tiktok’s assets in the US.
In this year’s spring, an agreement was in progress to cinde Tiktok operations in the US in a new US-based and operated US-based company, but it was suspended after China indicated that it would not approve it after the announcement of Trump of high tariffs on Chinese products.
Trump said the United States will likely have to approve a deal with China.

When they asked him if he was confident that China would agree with a deal, he said, “I’m not confident, but I think yes. President XI and I have a great relationship, and I think it’s good for them. I think the deal is good for China and it’s good for us.”
