The European Union will not receive a letter from the United States establishing higher rates, Reuters told EU sources familiar with the matter on Monday.

United States President Donald Trump said earlier that the United States will impose a 25% rate on imports from Japan and South Korea from August 1 by revealing the first two of what he said would be a wave of cards to commercial partners to outline the new rates they will face.
