What did João Félix say?
João Félix manifested herself to talk to the Portuguese press after attending the funeral of brothers Diogo Jota (Liverpool striker) and André Silva, fatal victims of a car accident last Friday (4) in Spain.
In an interview with CMTV, he highlighted the influence of coach Bruno Lage on his professional career and reaffirmed the desire to return to the Lisbon club. Last season, João Félix played on loan at Milan, but had discreet performance, with only three goals scored in 21 games, resulting in the non -renewal of his bond with the Italian club.
“I know the coach well, he was essential for my evolution.” It weighs a lot in my choice. I really want to return to Benfica, that’s where I’m more inclined right now, ”said the player.

João Félix in Flamengo?
Behind the scenes, Flamengo showed interest in hiring the striker and started conversations, but bumped into two obstacles: the athlete’s desire to continue in European football and the high salary he currently receives.
In addition to the red-black, clubs in the Middle East also tried to advance with proposals, but were discouraged for the same reason-João Félix’s preference for remaining in the European scenario.

João Félix’s salary
With estimated gains of about 9 million euros per year (approximately R $ 58 million), the striker would have a salary close to $ 5 million monthly if he accepted a Brazilian proposal – figures considered unfeasible for the current domestic market.
Thus, it seems that Benfica must even be the next destination of the 24 -year -old, who seeks to resume protagonism on European soil.
