The Secretariat of Administration has enabled an ally of the governor (PSD) to participate in a project aimed at socially vulnerable people with dependence on alcohol and others.
Therapeutic communities are private entities aimed at treating alcohol and drug dependents that usually mix.
On June 26, the Pernambuco government launched the Nova History program, which provides for an annual investment of R $ 3.6 million and partnerships with entities that will welcome these dependents. State management will fund 200 vacancies and will pay R $ 1,500 per person, in a transient and voluntary residential regime.
One of the qualified institutions was the Saravida Assistance Society, which has as one of its founders the missionary Michele Collins, former councilor of Recife and today director of. She was appointed to the position at the stadium, administered by the State Secretariat of Tourism and Leisure, after appointment of the PP.
Michele Collins was present in the Governor’s affiliation of the PSD in March. The missionary and director of Arena Pernambuco works in an evangelical church and has a strong electorate in this segment.
Sought the government of Pernambuco denied that the fact that Collins is allied of Raquel influenced the institution’s accreditation. “All participating institutions were submitted to the same selection process, conducted in a public and transparent manner, with strictly applied technical and legal criteria, as established in the notice and in accordance with current legislation,” he says in a statement.
“There was no differentiated favor or treatment to any organization. The qualification of the institutions was exclusively based on the full compliance with the requirements provided for in the notice, without any influence of political or personal nature.”
The agency says that the selection of institutions qualified to accreditation was carried out through public notice and disclosed in the official channels of the Government of Pernambuco. Of the 12 proposals received from civil society organizations, 11 institutions were qualified.
“The distribution of vacancies between accredited ASCs occurs proportional to the declared and verified reception capacity by the Executive Secretariat of Drug Policy, being established the maximum limit of 50% of the proven physical capacity for agreement with state resources”, adds the note. “The duplicate of vacancies is also prohibited by other public entities.”
The Saravid Assistance Society was sought, but did not respond to the contacts of the column.
