A storm system that progresses through Gemer and adjacent Hungary further east to northeast, It brings local wind gusts with a speed of about 80 kilometers per hour and tidal rain, exceptionally hail. Informs the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) on the social network.
“The wind can still strengthen how the system gets into warmer air in Eastern Slovakia. At the same time, other local storms, some of the supercelar and possible larger hailstore, began to emerge before it,” SHMI points out.
The storm system is associated with a cold front for which significantly cooled to 15 to 20 degrees Celsius. Cooling, according to meteorologists, will feel the most in Zemplin, where the temperature reached 35 to 37 degrees Celsius.
