Miguel Alves Ribeiro argues that “there can be only one leader”. And explains: “When we are doing financing rounds, for example, 90% of my time is dedicated to it. Miguel Alves Ribeiro passed PT, Oni and Best Tables, in various markets, from Europe to South America. But it was in India that he found his most growth experience. He was invited to join the Zomato Restaurant Discovery Platform, as Vice President of Sales, from Nova Delhi, India. “ANDIt is a completely different culture, a way of working and people completely different from what was used to, ”he explains, noting that“ they were suspicious and I had to gain their trust, being the only foreigner within the company ”.

And the now SHEERME CEO notice that “it is easier to lead and inspire people when they recognize us because we have impact on the sector.” In his case, “he was known in Portugal and in the markets where he was, but in other countries it was just one more. It implied my ego and rebuild everything again, my professional identity,” he says.

He returned to Portugal to lead Zomato’s launch in the domestic market as director-general, and its expansion in Europe and South America. The taste for the transformation of traditional sectors through technology made it in 2021 to launch its own project, SHEERME, a platform that aims to digitize customer management of traditional beauty salons and gyms. Since its foundation has been angry but it still has a fierce competition from the old technique of “paper and pen.”
