Jennifer Sliwka takes over the painting gallery of the Kunsthistorisches Museum

Jennifer Sliwka becomes the new director of the Gemäldegalerie of the Kunsthistorisches Museum. The art historian born in the United States, who grew up in Canada and Great Britain and received his doctorate on the baroque painter Domenico Beccafumi, will take up her new office in November. “Building on the success of my esteemed predecessors, I am looking forward to finding new ways together to appreciate this world-class collection,” said Sliwka, pleased with her order.
