Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) criticized on Monday (7) the Lula government campaign in favor of-which proposes to tax billionaires, banks and bets (BETS).
In a video published on social networks, the parliamentarian called the proposal “lying narrative” and stated that taxation can generate capital escape and job reduction.
“With these people leaving Brazil, consequently their companies also leave the country. Then you have lack of investments and, especially, lack of revenue,” he said.

Nikolas accused the government of using a “poor against rich” speech to divide the population. He compared public spending on the first lady Janja da Silva-according to him, $ 2 million a year-and attacked government figures for wearing luxury items, such as a Louis Vuitton tie of Lula and a $ 27,000 scholarship from Deputy Erika Hilton (PSOL-SP).
The deputy also questioned the coherence of PT’s speech: “Lula’s funders are billionaires. This does not glue.” He also mentioned JBS’s Joesley and Wesley Batista brothers and criticized the president’s international trips with great entourage.
The format of the video, with appealing look and data on public spending, repeats the strategy used by the deputy in episodes such as “pixgate” and reports of INSS fraud, content that generated millions of views on digital platforms.
