the former governor of Paraná evaluates the government () as right and says he does not see any progressive project for the country on the left today.
“It’s a right -wing, neoliberal government. By the way, it’s not me who I say, it’s Lula. There’s some compensatory policies. For example, the one, who if I were a senator, would vote for. But what does it mean? Nothing. This is out of national project. This ends the perspective of Lula’s reelection.
In his evaluation, a progressive and leftist project would have nationalized the oil, not auctioned for private companies.
Twice senator and three times governor of Paraná, Requião joined the PT in 2022 and now – the official announcement is scheduled to take place on the 16th.
The PT, he says, even has progressive paintings in his composition, but “the party as a whole is no longer.”
Amid criticism of the Executive, he states that the (National Institute of Social Security) is a case of corruption entrained in the agency, and not the fault of a management.
The case was the trigger for the departure of the president of the Ministry of Social Security of Lula, and made the acronym bench in the House to preach independence in relation to the government – the Senate remained with the petista.
“I am not concerned about this independence right now. The PDT must strive to set up a project from Brazil. This does not mean being independent or dependent. It is the only party I can participate today. I have a labor story in my life,” he says.
About a year from 2026, Requião does not see any left and progressive politician with national project today. For him, the finance minister is “a serious guy” but liberal and “believes in the market”.
Already “has an open and critical position, but has no project,” says Requião. Already presidential candidate for the PDT, Ciro starred in internal cracks in the acronym, supported Bolsonarist names in 2022 and is currently speculated on the PSDB. “If he is, then it is a total disaster for himself. He would not recommend it to leave,” says Requião.
On the right, in turn, he sees the government of Ratinho Jr (PSD) in Paraná as “poor” and “mediocre” and () “completely out of dispute” to the presidency in 2026.
“The main name on the right today is the governor of São Paulo []”He adds.
