The Federal District Court overturned, on Monday (7), an injunction that determined the inclusion of the name of Deputy Dandara Tonantzin in the dispute for the presidency of the PT of Minas Gerais. The injunction had led to the postponement of the state election to the petista board.
The candidacy of the parliamentary was rejected by the PT due to late payment of party contribution. The caption was summoned about the court decision on Saturday night (5) and alleged a lack of time to include Dandara’s name in the banknotes.
At the same time, the PT resorted to enable the vote without the participation of Dandara. The election of Minas Gerais is expected to take place next Sunday.
PT affiliates voted to choose the new national and local leaders of the party on Sunday (6). The most quoted for the national presidency is the former mayor of Araraquara and former Minister Edinho Silva.
The party will have a meeting on Tuesday (8) to discuss the imbroglio in Minas Gerais. The counting of the votes for national president is being held and a partial result may be released later this Monday.
