Russia may lose war in Ukraine, believe (or fear) to China

Xi Jinping e Vladimir Putin

The other side of the recent statements by the Foreign Minister of China. Russia is a “pawn” in the Chinese version.

A China always had a position neutral in between Russia and Ukraine. But last week a statement “out of the box” came from a member of the Chinese government.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi warned the European Union: China does not accept that Russia loses the war against Ukraine.

Second – which surprised some of the elements of the European Union entourage, at a meeting in Brussels – the Chinese government has a fear: os USA.

Small thinks that if Russia loses the conflict, the US would be totally Focused on China. Therefore, he prefers a prolonged war in Ukraine, postponing the return of the most pronounced rivalry between US and China.

At the meeting with Kaja Kallas, head of European Union diplomacy, the minister will have thrown the sentence: “China cannot be allowed to defeat Russia”.

“Why, this is plotted,” begins by analyzing Jorge Silva Carvalho at: “It’s one of those fatal phrases, which can only have been said without much thinking.”

There is a central point in this sentence of Minister Wang Yi: “To say something of these, it is because China believes Russia can be defeated“.

Given that China is a country close to Russia, not only geographically but as an ally at various levels, “this is significant”.

The expert’s second conclusion is that China considers that Russia is a “pawn”the Chinese government assumes the “subordination” of Russia. That is, for China, “it is even good that Russia will wear out and, above all, that it attracts the attention of Europeans, the born and the US.”
