US President Donald Trump said that the eventual creation of a political party by billionaire Elon Musk will be a “help” for Republicans, pointing out that “third parties have always been good for me,” as he answers questions during a meeting of the cabinet this afternoon. Last year, independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. left the presidential race to support Trump and became the Republican Health Secretary.

When asked, Trump said he trusts the work of all his current government secretaries. “Everyone is great. If they are not, I will throw them to the wolves, because what matters is our country,” he said. Prior to disagreements with the Republican and the removal of duties at the White House, Musk even led the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) and had his work praised by the president, as well as being allowed to attend cabinet meetings.

Still on domestic policy issues, Trump again criticized Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani and claiming that “communism cannot win” in the US, accusing him of not having what is necessary to rule. “But I won’t get involved,” he said, just before playing suggesting that he thinks of taking control of the capital Washington to “fix things.” Currently, the country’s capital is governed by Mayor Muriel Bowser.
