See an overview of the most important thing that has happened abroad in the last week, as well as what we expect. Foreign selection was prepared for you this week by the editor of the foreign department Barbora Libayová.
The President of the European Commission Ursula von Der Leyen was under the scrutiny of the European Parliament this week, who will vote on confidence for her and her entire cabinet on Thursday. In the event that she was dismissed, it would be a historical moment, as the whole European Commission would fall and, along with it, the Slovak European Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič. Several serious errors, especially the case known as Pfizergate.
What is pfizergate: The main argument to dismiss von Der Leyen is the so-called Pfizergate case, which dates back to the Covid-19 pandemic. New York Times journalist in 2022 asked for access to communication between von Der Leyen and head of Pfizer Albert Bourl, including text messages. These concerned private negotiations between von der Leyen and Bourl on the supply of vaccines from 2021.
However, the Commission refused to disclose the reports, initially claiming that they could not be considered as documents, and in its archives they are not found. In May this year, however, the EU General Court ruled to the detriment of the Commission, confirming that by refusing the publication of SMS messages it violated the principles of transparency. Moreover, even the MEPs have not been made available to the complete documentation on the purchase of vaccines – most of its parts were blackened.
Criticism of connecting with radicals: In addition to non -transparency in the Pfizergate case, von der Leyen is criticizing that in the European Parliament von der Leyen’s Fraction – the European People’s Party (EPP), he often votes with extremists. Although the liberal fractions of Renew Europe and the Greens have expressed reservations, they have not yet supported her appeal.
On the contrary, the dismissal of Von der Leyen is mainly the non -classified MEPs (including all deputies for the Smer party) and some members of the right -wing Fraction Patrioti, such as Czech MEP Filip Turek. The appeal was approved on Monday with 77 signatures, which is a sufficient amount to launch Thursday’s vote.
On Thursday’s voting with MEP Miriam Lexmann, who has not yet decided whether to support or not, or not, colleagues. Pavol Štrba a David Žák:
Possible consequences of the Commission’s appeal: A two -thirds majority of 720 MEPs, ie 480 votes, is required to dismiss the head of the European Commission. If the von der Leyen was dismissed, the whole European Commission would have fallen, and the Slovak European Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič. The process of choosing a new commission could take months, which could have serious impact on important negotiations, such as duties with the United States or financial assistance to Ukraine.
What will follow: The final vote on Ursula’s trust von der Leyen and the whole European Commission is scheduled for Thursday, probably in the late afternoon. The vote will be public, which means that every MEP will have to publicly express his attitude.

The list of clients convicted by Jeffrey Epstein does not exist, the Americans have decided
Found no evidence: The US Department of Justice (TRACH) and the Federal Investigation Office (FBI) officially concluded an investigation into the case of the sexual delinquency of Jeffrey Epstein. Their conclusions deny the long -lasting conspiracy theories: According to investigators, Epstein has taken life himself and there is no “client list”, nor “no credible evidence” that Epstein would blackmail someone. In support of the conclusion of the medical investigator that Epstein committed suicide in custody in the metropolitan correction center in New York, they also published videos.
These findings are contrary to the beliefs of many conspiracy theorists who claimed that Epstein was murdered so that he could not convict government officials, celebrities and business magnates involved in his crimes. Even the director of the FBI Kash Patel and his deputy Dan Bongino, who had previously questioned the official version of Epstein’s death, acknowledged after entering Trump’s administration that Epstein had committed suicide.
Has them on the table: Despite these conclusions, the publishing of the news and the FBI has triggered some of some supporters of Donald Trump and his Maga Wave Magic Movement. Critics, including right -wing commentator Rogan O’Handley, call a message as “shameful coverage to protect the most hazardous elites”. The controversy was even more prompted by the statements of the Prosecutor General Pam Bondi, who in the February interview for Fox News indicated that “a list of Jeffrey Epstein clients” has on her table.
Musk was also involved: Although the White House, through the spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, explained that Bondi referred to all the writings related to Epstein’s crimes and not to a specific list, the disappointment of Trump’s conservative supporters persists. The debate was re -fired by Elon Musk, who claimed that Trump appears in unpublished Epstein government files, for which he later apologized.
Demolition on behalf of integration
Denmark, recently taken over by the rotating Presidency of the European Union, attracts attention by its unorthodox migration policy, which is surprisingly promoted by the left -wing social -democratic party Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. It became famous for its strict anti -graphic rules, which critics call discriminatory and in conflict with human rights. Among the most controversial is the so -called “Geth Act”, which allows the authorities to demolish residential units in the neighborhoods where immigrants have not integrated enough to society.

Benjamin Netanyahu nominuji Donald Trump on Nobel Ceno for Mier
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu surprised US President Donald Trump on Monday evening by announcing that he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Netanyahu justified his decision by Trump “building peace, in one country and one region after another.”
So far he has always been disappointed: Trump, who has been nominated several times for this prestigious award, has not hid his disappointment that he has not yet won it. He often pointed out his intermediary role in conflicts. During the meeting with Netanyahu Trump, he also expressed the belief that the Hamas Palestinian movement is willing to agree with Israel on a ceasefire.
60-day ceasefire on the table: During the dinner in the White House, which was also attended by their chief advisors, the leaders focused on the design of the 60-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, with which Israel had already agreed. Netanyahu expressed the belief that under Trump’s leadership, Israel could reach peace with the “whole Middle East,” and the Palestinians would gain some self -government, but security matters would remain under the control of Israel.
Elon Musk has announced that he is going to establish a new political party
The billionaire Elon Musk, on Saturday, via the X social network, announced the establishment of a new political party called “America Party”. This step came after the recovery of the dispute with former President Donald Trump.
Musk said that the “America Party” is created to return freedom to Americans based on the results of the online survey, where most respondents (or Musk’s followers on the social network) expressed a desire for a new political party. However, there are no official documents submitted to the Federal Election Commission to confirm the formal establishment of such a party.
Musk in 2024 spent almost $ 300 million to support Trump and other Republicans.
P. Diddy exempt from the most difficult allegations
Music producer Sean Combs, known as P. Diddy, was liberated by the court from under the most serious allegations of trafficking in human beings for sexual exploitation and participation in conspiracy for the purpose of committing organized crime.
Shocking judgment: The judgment that has fallen after an eight -week court proceedings is a shock for many, as he is now threatened with a maximum of 20 years instead of a lifelong punishment he was threatened with Combs. The jury found him guilty of only two out of five points of indictment: from the transport of people for prostitution and repeated use of violence against the witness.
Pulled her into the room: The key witness of the indictment was Combs’s former partner Cassie Venturová, who testified of forced participation in orgies called “Freaks Offs”. When she tried to escape from one of them, Combs physically attacked her and dragged her back to the hotel room, which is also confirmed by records from the hotel camera.
It can only sit for two years: Despite this evidence and testimonies, another 33 other persons did not believe the jury’s statements to the extent that Combs would give a stricter punishment. Following the judgment, Combs did not hide the enthusiasm and his lawyer Marc Agnifilo said that “they are not yet done with the fight” and will try to liberate it. Although his application for a million bail has been rejected, the minimum punishment he is currently threatening is only two years.
