It is a form of cutting, which aims to control the growth and habit of the bush, as well as directing the energy of the plant to the development and ripening of fruit already tied. It consists in removing the top of the main rush above the last group of fruit, usually leaving 2-3 leaves above this group. Thanks to this, the plant stops growing up and focuses on maturing existing tomatoes.
The main purpose of announcing tomatoes is to accelerate fruit ripening and increase crops. By removing the tip of the momentum, the plant does not lose energy on the production of new flowers and fruits, which would not be able to grow before the end of the growing season. This energy is redirected to the development and ripening of already tied tomatoes, which results in larger, tastier and faster ripening fruit. The announcement is especially important in regions with a shorter growing season, where it must be ensured that the fruit will be able to grow before the falling.
The announcement of tomatoes is usually carried out at the end of summer, about 8 weeks before the end of the harvest, which most often falls at the end of September. This treatment is mainly performed on high -tomato bushes, which are characterized by continuous growth and need adjustment. In the case of dwarf tomatoes, which naturally finish the growth after establishing a certain number of fruit, announcing is usually not necessary. It should be remembered that the deadline may vary depending on the tomato variety, climatic conditions and individual preferences of the gardener.

Buying fertilizers are not required for fertilizing tomatoes. All you need is what you will find in your garden or forest. When fertilizing tomatoes, a conditioner using pine cones will work great. This is a very underestimated way that will make you collect kilos of juicy tomatoes in late summer.
How to prepare fertilizer for tomatoes from pine cones?
From pine cones is simple and quick to prepare. All you have to do is bring a few cones from the forest. Put them in a pot and pour water. Cook for about 20 minutes. When the decoction cools down, pour it into the jar. Before use, mix the conditioner with water in a 50 ml ratio of 1 l of water. Once every two weeks, water the tomatoes and you will see how beautiful they are. Pine cones are rich in many valuable nutrients. They contain, among others, potassium, zinc and calcium. They will make the plants grow faster and become more resistant to diseases and pests.
