How to properly place products in the refrigerator? This will remain fresh longer

After buying, take a while of time to properly arrange the products you brought with you in the refrigerator. There is a big difference where you place things in the refrigerator. Therefore, it is worth knowing how not only to maintain order in the refrigerator, but also how to use it as best as possible, and thus extend the freshness and durability of your purchases.

Experts recommend that you arrange the products as follows:

  • The top shelf – It is best suited for dairy products such as yogurt, cream or kefir, as well as jams and marmalades. You can also place cakes, such as cottage cheesecake.
  • Medium shelf – This is the best place to store products that spoil quickly and have a short shelf life. Here we also place foods that need to be stored at a temperature of less than 5 degrees Celsius. These include cottage cheese, salami, sausages, cheese, ready meals or ready -made foods.
  • Lower shelf – Here we place products that spoil the fastest and need the lowest temperature. Therefore, place raw meat or fish here. However, remember that the meat should not be stored for more than 2 days and fish for more than 1 day.
  • Sockets – This is a place to store vegetables and fruits.
  • Door shelves – This is the hottest place in the refrigerator. Here you should place products that do not need very low temperatures. On these shelves we can store, for example, sauces in bottles, milk, juices in cardboards, ketchup or mustard.
