Watering like a plant killer number one!

How to save the plant from waterlogging? Many beginners believe that the biggest problem is to forget the watering. At the same time, most plants die because they had too many moisture.

However, you do not have to worry about the plant that the plant does not have enough water. Most of them would show you visually. First of all, the plant fades and wraps, triggers the leaves slightly down to save energy. When you pour it up reasonably, it uprights again and looks quite normal.

The loss of a sheet or two in the case of too long the absence of watering is unpleasant, but it is definitely not dramatic. A healthy plant can handle this loss quickly and will soon create more new leaves.

In the case of spilling the plants often begin to turn yellow and die because they look downright unhealthy. We tend to improve them with another dressing. However, this is still deepening the problem and we dramatically reduce the possibility of rescue.

Similarly, it is very strong in plants, such as various skirts and thick -ol species. On the contrary, when waterlogging strangely pulp, parts of the plant soften and lose color.

Přemoissek is also typical for the winter period. Listen to what Mrs. Simona advises, showing you how waterlogging is reflected.

When are you caroling for waterlogging?

This applies especially to plants that are in containers without a drain hole. From time to time we use various bowls or designer caps for pots. But we rarely can make the appropriate watering.

It is in such containers that plants are most often spilled. Of course, this is also possible in classic pots, where there is impermeable clay soil, poor drainage, too high bowl or just a nice flower pot, which holds all excess watering. The plant then begins to heat down. The roots have a lack of oxygen and begin to rot.

If it is not strictly, which is great in stagnant tanks and ponds, then forget that the plant needs mainly water. It can be confusing, because, as is well known, different plants can be. However, do not twist everything together. In the case of cultivation in a pot and with the substrate, this substrate needs to be permeable and excess water always runs away.

In systems such as self -irrigation pots are on the bottom of each box of drainage that drains excess water. If we water the self -irrigation flower pot, then pour the water into the tank, which this liquid slowly rises into a part of the pot, where plants are set. Even in the self -irrigation pot, the plant does not stand in the water.

If the roots are waterlogged, it can start to rot very quickly due to various mushrooms. Over time, the roots rot and rot into the stem or trunk of the plant and degrades the whole.

Treatment

The waterlogged plant should be removed from the pot and explore its root pack. Healthy roots are white or brown but firm or fleshy. Damaged are gray or brown color, sometimes covered with slime, fall apart or even sticky. Cut all of these too soft parts or cut off with a clean disinfected tool. And if you continue to eliminate other parts, wipe the tool in disinfection.

Leave only really solid parts of the roots on the plant and those that are healthy at first glance. Sometimes it is necessary to intervene almost to the trunk. Subsequently, it is necessary to leave the plant or fresh cuts to dry well. If you soak it again in this state, it would start to rot again quickly in the cut. You can let the plant dry calmly a day or two.

Plants can also be treated with fungicide and growth stimulator. These are liquid or powder preparations that prevent slicing with fungal diseases and at the same time support the formation of roots. If you lack such a means at home, use a ground cinnamon that naturally has very similar effects.

For re -planting it is necessary to buy a new soil. The old substrate is very damp, but also full of pathogens, which can significantly complicate the growth of the treated plant. Choose ideally a substrate suitable for growing a particular species and do not forget to provide a drainage flower pot – or by opening at the bottom. If you let the plant dry a day or two, after transplanting it can be poured. If the plant has only dried for a few hours, do not water it after transplanting, but wait for two days.
