The minister marked, in the recess of the the instruction hearings of the witnesses of nuclei 3 and 4 of the report of attempted coup. The hearings are scheduled to take place later this month, between the 14th and 23rd. Among the witnesses listed are PL President Valdemar Costa Neto; General Marco Antonio Freire Gomes, Brigadier Carlos de Almeida Baptista Junior and Lieutenant Colonel Delastor Mauro César Barbosa Cid. The Supreme Court judges 31 defendants, divided into four nuclei, by involvement in the plan that tried to keep former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in power. In Nucleus 3, the Attorney General’s Office denounced nine military personnel and a federal police, accused of planning the execution of acts for the coup. According to the investigations, the group was responsible for formulating the plan ‘Green and Yellow dagger’, which provided for the murder of then -president -elect Lula and deputy Geraldo Alckmin.
Among the defendants are:
– Three Army Colonels: Bernardo Romão Corrêa Netto, Fabrício Moreira de Bastos and Márcio Nunes de Resende Júnior;
-Five Lieutenants Colonels: Hélio Ferreira Lima, Rafael Martins de Oliveira, Rodrigo Bezerra de Azevedo, Ronald Ferreira de Araújo Júnior and Sérgio Ricardo Cavaliere de Medeiros;
– A reserve general: Estevam Theophilo Gaspar de Oliveira;
– An agent of the Federal Police: Wladimir Matos Soares.
– Center 4 is formed by accused who would be responsible, according to PGR, for spreading false news – especially about the reliability of the electronic ballot box – and promoting virtual attacks against institutions and authorities that tried to prevent the coup plan.
This group consists of five active and reserve military personnel, an agent of the PF and the president of the Vot Legal Institute.
The members are:
– Ailton Gonçalves Moraes Barros, retired army captain;
– Angelo Martins Denicoli, Major of the Army Reserve;
– Carlos César Moretzsohn Rocha, engineer and president of the Voting Legal Institute;
– Giancarlo Gomes Rodrigues, Army Warrant Officer;
-Guilherme Marques de Almeida, Lieutenant Colonel of the Army;
-Marcelo Araújo Bormevet, federal police and former member of the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin).
