Chairman of the Hungarian government Viktor Orbán on Facebook before Thursday’s vote of MEPs on the procurement of the European Commission (EC) under the leadership of Ursula von Der Leyen on Wednesday’s chairman He pointed out that the time had come to resign. This is reported by TASR newsletter in Budapest.

“It will be a wild day in the European Parliament tomorrow. MEPs will vote on whether Ursula von der Leyen should continue at the head of the Brussels bureaucracy. The vote was set out as a result of growing corruption cases around the chair, but we all know that corruption is just the tip of the glacier, ”Orbán said.

In his words, the competitiveness of Europe is in ruins, European energy prices are rising sharply, illegal migration has gone out of control, gender ideology is a duty, war in Ukraine has become a meat grinder, European farmers are on the verge of collapse and harmful green ideology culminates.

“Tomorrow comes the moment of the truth: On the one hand, the imperial elite in Brussels, on the other side Patrioti and common sense … The chairwoman, the essence of the management is responsibility. It’s time to leave! ” declared Orbán.

Von der Leyen considers a proposal to express distrust in the EP as an effort to destabilize the EU institutions by false allegations. She said this on Monday during a debate at the EP plenary meeting, which will probably vote on the proposal on Thursday. The allegations of poor management in the management of the Pandemic of Covid-19 and the concealment of negotiations with the vaccine manufacturer Pfizer was described by the head of the EC as a lie.

The proposal to express distrust has only a minimum chance of approval, as a two -thirds majority of votes are required to receive it, which must also represent most of all MEPs. Thursday’s vote is likely to serve as an indicator of dissatisfaction with the President of the EC. If many Members stay voting, it will save the commission, but it will be for von der Leyen’s political blow, the Euronews server wrote.
