Passengers no longer have to take off their shoes in the United States

Arlington (Texas) – After almost two decades, passengers in the United States no longer have to take off their shoes regularly during security control. “We assume that this change will shorten the waiting times of the passengers at our checkpoints,” said Minister of Homeland Protection Kristi Noem on Tuesday. The transport security authority (TSA) had asked most air travelers out of hidden explosives to take off their shoes during the check.
