In the first half of the year, 82 of the 194 bills approved by the objective of the ones were to name streets or places or sought to include dates in the calendar, as in the case of the Municipal Day of Trans and Transvestite Visibility.
Approved texts include projects that veto the use of neutral language and new forms of gender flexion in contrast to the grammatical rules adopted in the municipality, which establishes the creation of an environmental preservation rate to be paid by aircraft owners, and also that prohibits the teaching or disciplinary approach of the Holocaust under the prism of negationism.
The current legislature, with, also waged ideological clashes around topics such as abortion and the right of transgender and transgender people.
The mayor, councilman (Union), defends the numbers and recalls that, in 2023 and 2024, during the management of (Union), 156 and 124 texts, respectively, were approved.
“I believe that the numbers speak for themselves and that the House has voted many good council projects for society, created that they disturb the quiet. He struggled intensely the issue of motorcyclexis,” he says.
Of the 194 projects approved this year, 133 went through the first vote and still depend on a second endorsement before they went to the sanction or veto of Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB). Another 39 were approved in two votes in this legislature.
The counselors also approved 22 projects in the second vote, but which had already been analyzed in the previous legislature.
In addition to the 194 texts, the House’s advisory reports that eight other projects were approved directly for their commissions.
The councilman also praises projects such as Chamber on the street – which councilors go to the neighborhoods to listen to demands of the population – the open chamber and the Women’s Attorney’s Office, at Anchieta Palace.
Among the confusions of the semester, the councilwoman, who in a session referred to the trans woman as “biologically man”.
“Perhaps it has impacted making the sessions warmer and with more heated debates. At this point I see that all this is part of democracy,” says the mayor.
