Products of Chinese Technology Company Deepseek dealing with artificial intelligence they must not be used in the state administration from Wednesday in the Czech Republic. Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced this to journalists after the Cabinet meeting, TASR informs, referring to the portal Novinky.cz. This measure was approved by the Government on the recommendation of the National Cyber and Information Security Authority (NÚKIB). He had previously warned, that Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) poses a risk for user data.
Deepseek as a Chinese company is according to NÚKIB by law obliged to cooperate with the local authorities there. This represents a serious security risk because it can lead to unauthorized access to the sensitive data of all users, who use this artificial intelligence.
On the basis of these findings and analysis NÚKIB government according to Fiala decided on the ban on the use of all products, applications, solutions and web services provided by Deepseek in the Czech state administration. Fiala stressed that Deepseek stores data on servers in China and Russia and that they are not sufficiently secured.
The South Korean Personal Data Protection Commission commented on Deepseek to deal with user data. According to her findings The company made available without informing users of their data to the Chinese technology company Bytiedance, which owns the Tick platform. Deepseek was founded in 2023 in the Chinese city of Chang-Čou and in the same year it introduced its first language model.
