Forget the bought herbicides

Now we can argue that of course we all know well about herbicides that would take care of everything in minutes. But nature is more advantageous and we really do not want to spray the garden. But there are also ecological, yet surprisingly effective methods that are worth considering. It saves a lot of work and the environment does not suffer.

Excellent environment for weed

The weed, which will grow in the joints between the tiles, is actually very “smart”. They provide him with protection from the sun, retain moisture and, last but not least, protect the germinating plants from destruction. They accumulate organic residues, which are an excellent source of nutrients… Can anyone be surprised that they are directly entertained in such places? It’s hard. Once it catches up here, the roots are so tight that we will be very difficult to remove it. In addition, Iz will grow rapidly again. It is therefore not only about the disposal of the part we see, but mainly about preventing the growth of other leaves.

Holy Trinity

You have already heard of the almost “holy trio”, which consists of vinegar, salt and edible soda. We should rely on it in this case, there are many good reasons. In addition to the fact that neither of these raw materials is significantly expensive, their combination is still ecological, but also very effective.

Vinegar against weeds

The vinegar is, as we may already know, a natural herbicide that destroys plants by disrupting their cells, they then dry out and the whole plant gradually dies. It is always better to use vinegar white with a concentration of 10 %than the common one in the kitchen. But if you do not have the white at hand, calmly reach for fermented alcohol vinegar. Maybe it will perform a little weak, but it is definitely not a bad thing.

Salt, as we know, dries

Furthermore, there was talk of salt – classic salt, ie sodium chloride. You also have this ingredient at home and you are sure to realize how to work with salty dough or clean the soiled surfaces of salts, dry the skin. This is precisely the effect that salt also affects the disposal of weeds. Moreover, it also changes the so -called osmotic pressure in the soil, which is a variable important for the possible use of moisture through plants. So nothing will grow on the salted soil for a long time. Indeed, the ancient Romans, who were supposed to salt the soil after the conquest of Carthage, knew that, and thus cause the enemy to cause major problems.

Edible soda – it is just for everything

And what about baking soda? Do not forget it even when preparing the spray, because sodium bicarbonate is a principle that increases soil pH. Many weeds prefer a neutral, sometimes slightly acidic environment. So Soda is popular with their well -being.

How to proceed to success?

Before you start spraying, remove (most recently) apparent weeds, moss and other dirt. You can use a brush or other sharp tool. If possible, rinse the joints with a stream of water. Then spray the prepared surface with a solution prepared from half a liter of vinegar and the same amount of water. Add to this volume of fluid after a teaspoon of soda and salt. Mix, and once everything is dissolved, spray or pour the joints. Do not spare, it is necessary for the solution to get really everywhere. If you repeat this procedure after a few weeks, you will not have to remember the skin between the tiles for the next few months.
