The exit occurs at a difficult time for Elon Musk
Two years after accepting Elon Musk’s invitation to lead social network X, Linda Yaccarino announced his resignation from the company on Wednesday.
Through the same social network that served the position of CEO, Yaccarino, 61, was grateful for the time he spent in the company. “When Elon Musk and I first talked about his vision for the X, I knew it would be the unique opportunity to perform the extraordinary mission of this company. I am immensely grateful to rely on the responsibility of protecting freedom of expression, raising the company and turning the X into an application ‘Everything’.”
Considered one of Musk’s great allies, Linda Yaccarino gave no explanation for her departure, but she was being prepared for over a week, a source said to NBC News.
Musk, CEO of Tesla and Spacex, bought Twitter in 2022 and then changed his name to X.
The departure occurs at a difficult time for Musk, which is dealing with the drop in sales of its Tesla electric vehicle manufacturer and is involved in a word war with US President Donald Trump.
