The Florida court in the United States signed a new summons on Monday, Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Court (STF), at the request of the companies Trump Media & Technology Group-linked to US President Donald Trump-and the Rumble video platform. The process that is being processed in the US is part of a siege of the Brazilian minister and court in the country, where since March 2025 has been licensed federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), son of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
Moraes also welcomed the Federal Police’s request and determined the extension for another 60 days of the investigation investigating Eduardo, suspected of promoting in his “self -exile” a campaign for the US government to impose sanctions on authorities in order to “embarrass” the progress of the trial in which the father is a defendant for attempted coup d’état.
To Estadão, the Supreme Advisory said he had no information about the process in Florida and would not comment on the matter. The action is filed by the two companies, which accuse Moraes of censoring content published in these social networks in Brazil. Two previous notification attempts in March and June were frustrated. The difference from the previous quote to the latter is that now the minister’s address appears complete in the document.

According to the Florida District Court, Moraes has a determined period of 21 days to respond to the complaint, or may be tried to default, which means that a decision may be taken against the defendant without a defense.
The citation ensures that the person against whom the action was filed is aware of the existence of the process and the chance to exercise their right of defense.
AGU
The Attorney General of the Union (AGU) said in a statement that it is following the progress of the process at the request of the Supreme Court. “Procedural intervention drafts are being prepared on behalf of the Federative Republic of Brazil, if it is decided that AGU will act in the case,” says an excerpt from the note.

The notification was attached to the US Justice system, a few hours before Trump’s statement, defending Jair Bolsonaro and claiming that former president is the victim of “persecution” and a “witch hunt” by Brazilian courts-in response, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva stated that Brazil is a sovereign country and will not undergo foreign interference.
Last month, the two companies filed an amendment to the action, claiming compensation for alleged damage to reputation, loss of revenue and business opportunities. The request was filed in the same Florida Court, where the case is being processed.
Rumble and Trump Media claim that Moraes violated the first amendment of the United States Constitution, which guarantees freedom of expression, by ordering the removal of accounts of right -wing Brazilian influencers on the platform and for other alleged “censorship attempts”.

Companies ask US court to declare “unenforceable” Moraes’ orders in US territory for violating the first amendment. They also request financial compensation and personal liability of the Brazilian Minister.
Diligence
Regarding the investigation involving Eduardo Bolsonaro, Moraes considered it necessary to extend the investigation period so that the PF can complete pending steps. In May, the Attorney General Paulo Gonet Branco filed a request to the Supreme Court for the deputy to be investigated for threats-via social networks-of provocation to the US government to punish Brazilian authorities acting on criminal action against former President Jair Bolsonaro for attempted coup.
“There is a climb of reports that report that the licensed parliamentarian would be in frequent contact with interlocutors of the US government, with the aim of getting the imposition of retaliation to Brazilian public authorities,” said Gonet.

The minister, who is also the rapporteur of the complaint of the coup and the digital militias investigation, assumed the conduct of the case by prevention and determined the opening of an inquiry to investigate Eduardo Bolsonaro.
According to the case file, the PF received the testimonies of Eduardo Bolsonaro and the leader of the House PT bench, Lindbergh Farias, author of representation that denounces the movements of the former president’s son in the US.
The former president was also heard, who stated that he sent a Pix of $ 2 million to his son.
