In the balance of tragic traffic accidents on Slovak roads, another sad milestone – 100. Police reported that the victim’s victim and life of a 25-year-old driver claimed a Thursday morning accident in the Levice district.
Roman Hajek, a spokesman for the Police Force Presidium (PPZ), explained that the accident occurred at approximately 04.25 h on the II/564 road. “According to the findings so far, the young driver met with the vehicle outside the road where he crashed into a tree. After the impact, the vehicle was thrown into the field. A young man succumbed to the injury on the spot, ” informed the police spokesman.
Compared to the same period of last year, the police recorded a lower number of killed persons, but emphasizes that every extinct life is a tragedy. “Such a loss deeply affects the wide surroundings and the survivors have recovered for a very long time. Again, I call on all drivers to pay extra attention, follow the traffic regulations and avoid situations that can lead to similar tragedies, ” He called on the Vice President of the PZ for the inner rules and safety Rastislav Polakovič.
He recalled that the police are also implementing several traffic-safety actions during the summer to increase the safety and eliminate participants violating the law. “In cooperation with the Slovak Red Cross, we organize first aid demonstrations, as part of the Council® event, we are checking the suggestions from you from citizens and measuring speed on dangerous sections,” added Polakovič.
