In his speech during a session at the Rio Branco Chamber, this Thursday (10), Councilman Samir Bestene charged compliance with Law No. 2,574, which determines the obligation to pay bus tickets through the Pix System.

The standard has been approved and sanctioned by Mayor Tião Bocalom, but so far is not being applied by Ricco Transportes, a company that operates public transportation from the capital.
“That law that was approved and sanctioned by Mayor Tião Bocalom, unfortunately has not yet been put into practice. And there are already public transport user who is charging, who is already taking buses and is not working as it is to be, because the validator is not updated,” said the parliamentarian.

He requested that the Rio Branco Municipal Transport and Traffic Superintendence (RBTrans) copper from Ricco Transportes the immediate implementation of the system.
The legislation was published in the Official Gazette on July 2 and requires the city’s public transport concessionaires and permits to offer PIX payment to all users. The proposal seeks to modernize the ticketing system and facilitate passenger access.
