According to Guilherme Freitas, economist and data scientist at Stone, June data indicate loss of rhythm of the economy. Despite the fall in unemployment and formal job creation, families consumption is still pressured by debt income commitment, which directly affects retail. He states that the slowdown in inflation seems to be more linked to the weakness of economic activity than to structural improvement, and that the deceleration scenario has been consolidating, although it is still necessary to follow the coming months to confirm this trend.
