Green gives way: Transport Minister Hanke gives the ASFINAG supervisory board new coat of paint

It is almost something like a government ritual: With every new Minister of Transport, the coloring of the state motorway operator ASFINAG is also changed. A few months after Norbert Hofer (FPÖ) took over the department at the end of 2017, he appointed Wels magistrate director Peter Franzmayr as the new chairman of the supervisory board and also brought the immo-entrepreneur Siegfried Stieglitz into the control committee. Two years later, the now Greens boss Leonore of Guessler made short processes, had the FPÖ-close Franzmayr recalled as chairman again after Stieglitz had already passed an FPÖ association due to allegations of donations.
