An unknown perpetrator killed him with five shots up close when leaving the house. The murder was also confirmed by SBU itself.
A man who was shot from the immediate vicinity in Kiev on Thursday morning identified the Ukrainian media as a colonel of the secret service of SBU Ivan Voronyč.
This was confirmed by an unnamed source from the SBU. Another source specified that Voronyč was one of the founders of the SBU department, which “now creates a lot of problems with the Russians,” the British BBC station informed, TASR writes.
Security cameras revealed an attack
The former colleague on social networks added that he was killed on Thursday around 08:00. Local Time (7:00 CEST) when leaving the house “five shots from the immediate vicinity”.
Social networks are also available shots from security cameras on the house, from which Voronyč left in the morning. They can see a Vorona, as it comes to parked cars, from behind which an unknown person ran out and triggered fire. The victim was reportedly dead on the spot. The offender escaped from the crime scene.

According to Deutsche Welle, Voronych was an employee of the Center of Special Operations, which was also involved in sabotages in Tulle, Russia and was also known as Alfa.
In the meantime, the SBU press service has also confirmed the murder of its employee.
Investigation and operational groups from the District and Main Police Directorate, criminals, handlers and other services are currently working at the crime scene in Kiev.
