When you say a “luxury villain”, few would expect a woman from a good family behind this title whose parents were doctors and grew up in a quiet and safe environment of private schools. Jennifer Gomez, a forty -year -old former Florida thief, has had a dark past: more than 200 burglary, millions of damage and finally ten years behind bars. Mistakes that attract thieves
Gomez says that owners of luxury houses often unknowingly show what they have to stake at home. Large windows without curtains, open door to a garden or terrace are all indications that make planning easier for thieves. Likewise, different type stickers Here the dog is watching Or the R logos are said to suggest that there is really something valuable inside.
Many rely on the presence of a dog to discourage uninvited guests. But as Gomez admits, she always carried a bribe for the dog: chicken, steak or sandwich. Thus, the animal changed from the protector to Tichý Potoviník. Another common mistake is the blind belief in the known security brand. According to Gomez, for example, the presence of a sign with the ALARMU ALARM logo was rather an advantage. She told her what to overcome and how to avoid it.
The thieves also record repeating patterns of behavior. For example, someone leaves at 8:00 every day and returns at 17:00. The house is dead at that time, no one is watching, no noise, no traces of life. On the contrary, small tricks such as the radio on, smart speaker or can create the illusion of the presence, and the potential thief rather chooses another goal.
What to do otherwise
According to Gomez, the greatest advice is: Do not give indications to thieves. Hide valuable equipment from sight, do not unnecessarily publish photos of the house on social networks, and above all, do not leave windows open, even if it is pleasant outside. From the outside it may look like an invitation.

Thieves learn how to circumvent conventional safety systems. Ordinary cameras are not enough today. Gomez recommends systems that respond to the sound of the shattering glass, or a video call that captures the movement at the door. And although the expensive system can be effective, it must not be exaggerated. It should be rather discreet and functional.
Final, perhaps the most important advice: Do not try to confront the thief. According to Gomez, even a seemingly banal situation may end tragically. For most thieves want to be inconspicuous, and as soon as they feel the presence of people, they prefer to leave rather than reveal themselves.
Jennifer Gomez today claims to use his experience to help people protect their homes. Her story is not about the admiration for her skills, but about notifying how easy it is to be a victim if you undertake security. Paradoxically, its view from the other side can be what will help many of you avoid unpleasant experiences and keep your home safe.
