The Lisbon Chamber has established a partnership with the Lidl Supermarket Network for the free availability of 335 places night parking, distributed by six parksfor residents in the city by joining, the municipality revealed this Thursday.

The partnership involves the Lidl Supermarket Network, as well as EMEL – Municipal Mobility and Parking Company of Lisbon.

Three of the six parking parks to be made available in this partnership “are now available”, namely Belenenses, Olivais Sul e Infante D. Henriquewhile the other three will be “until the end of the month”, namely Carnide, Laranjeiras e Xabregasaccording to the House.

“Os residents can use them free of charge between the closing time of stores and at 8:30 amby joining this modality in Lidl stores or on EMEL’s website, ”the House said in a statement.

This measure to increase parking supply for residents in the city will be presented publicly on Friday, with the presence of the mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Cois (PSD), in the Lidl Parking Park of the Belenenses Football Club, on Avenida do Restelo.

“We are enjoying what already exists, without spending more public money,” said mayor Carlos Coins in a statement. “Lidl is the first major chain of supermarkets to associate with this project,” said the municipality.

In addition to this measure, the Lisbon Chamber has been available, since March 19, 3,500 places Night parking in the city, in 36 parks of EMEL and TELPARK companies, located on 14 of the 24 Lisbon parishes, upon payment of 22 euros per month.

These parking places, intended for residents in the city, are ensured as part of the night agreement, which allows for a light vehicle in an EMEL or Telpark park, between 18h00 and 10h00 on business days and throughout the day on weekends and holidays, according to chamber information.
