A truck ran over and killed 13 capybaras on Avenida Dom Bosco, in Lake Sul, in Brasilia. The incident took place at dawn on Thursday (10.Jul.2025) in the morning. According to the BPMA (DF Environmental Police Battalion), only 1 puppy survived with injuries.

The animal was sent to HFAUS (Hospital and Rehabilitation Center of the Federal District Wild Fauna), where it received the first calls and remains under medical care.
