In the end, nine people tore around the worn -up Birkin Bag. For ten minutes you struggled to prototype of a Hermès handbag, which was designed for British actress Jane Birkin in 1984. The tear was worth it: one million euros was the minimum bid at Sotheby’s in Paris. On July 10, a Japanese bidder (supposedly a second-hand dealer) finally put on 8.6 million euros for the black handbag with shoulder strap, integrated nail cliff and the impregnated initials “JB”-traces of stickers.
