BNDES releases R $ 70 billion for Agro in the Safra 2025/2026 plan

The (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) announced on Friday (11) a record value for the financing of. With R $ 70 billion in credits made available, Banco aims to support agricultural producers of all sizes in Brazil. This amount represents a 5% increase compared to that made available to the previous crop. BNDES pointed out that a significant part of the resources will be destined for business agriculture. Annual interest rates for this segment range from 8.5% to 14%, reflecting the importance of supporting large producers that contribute substantially to the economy.

In addition, more than $ 13 billion will be allocated to small producers, known as representatives of family farming. These producers will have access to more affordable interest rates, ranging from 0.5% to 3% per year, ensuring that support reaches all levels of the agricultural sector.

The funds will be available from July and can be accessed by June 2026. Interested producers are encouraged to look for BNDES or accredited financial institutions to obtain the necessary financing. This announcement comes at a crucial moment, as Brazil prepares for a record crop, with production estimates that exceed 333 million tons of grains, legumes and oilseeds.
