The investigation into the Air India flight accident, which fell in June and killed 260 people, is focused on the actions of the pilots and the aircraft’s fuel control system. According to the Wall Street Journal, citing sources linked to US preliminary analysis, there is no evidence until the time of technical failure in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner or Ge Aerospace engines.
According to the newspaper, the first findings indicate that the switches that control the flow of fuel to the two engines were turned off, leading to loss of power soon after takeoff.
These commands are used to start, turn off, or restart engines in emergencies, but usually remain activated during the flight. It is unclear whether the action was accidental, deliberate or if there was an attempt to reverse the dismissal.

The accident occurred on June 12, when the plane crashed on a medical student accommodation near the airport, leaving only one survivor between the 242 passengers and crew.
India’s air accident investigation office is expected to publicize a preliminary report on Friday (11).

Meanwhile, US agencies such as NTSB and FAA offer technical support to Indian analysis. Boeing and GE have not issued alerts or safety guidelines for the fleet, common practice if problems in projects or aircraft operation are identified.
The accident was the first fatal involving Dreamliner, a model known for the good reputation on international long -distance flights.
The investigation occurs amid diplomatic tensions and criticism of slowness to access to black box data, which were only recently analyzed in New Delhi, after impasse on their transfer to another location.
