Montero: “We are not going to miss one with respect to violence against women or corruption, while they are accomplices”
The First Vice President and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, has launched against the president of Andalusia, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, and the PP for her criticisms of the Government and Pedro Sánchez for the investigations that justice advances justice against high positions of the PSOE and the measures announced by Sánchez to counteract corruption.
In this regard, Montero has stated that the PSOE is “acting with forcefulness” and that they will not “let a woman’s behavior, or corruption, while they cover, hide, are accomplices of behaviors that involve violence against women.”
He has also demanded that Moreno Bonilla stop “becoming so much the victim and giving explanations of Estepona, Algeciras and Marbella”, three cities of Andalusia governed by the PP where justice advances investigations for possible cases of corruption within the mayorships.
On the other hand, asked about the investment to which Sanchez has committed for NATO, and the criticisms he has received from the PP for allegedly “deceiving” the Spanish population by saying that he will not invest 5% of GDP in defense, Montero has reaffirmed in the commitment acquired by Sánchez to comply with the military capacities required by NATO for the year 2029 investing the 2.9% of the GDP in defense.
“The Government of Spain has had its own profile, recognized by Trump,” he said. “The important thing is to know what Mr. Feijóo thinks, where they plan to cut Mr. Feijóo, Moreno Bonilla, Mrs. Ayuso, to fulfill whether they will govern, who are not going to do so, to comply with 5%, because 300,000 million euros would have to be subtracted from the welfare state. Where do they plan to cut? Are they going to cut pensions, public health, public education, public education, the minimum vital income?”
