The Minister of Infrastructure and Housing ensures that TAP will not be privatized at all costs. In Miguel Pinto Luz says that the state is in no hurry to sell the Portuguese airline.
The minister ensures that the government will drop the business if there is no proposal that meets all the criteria.
In the same interviewthe ruler warns that after the restructuring plan, TAP necessarily has to grow, otherwise “die”.
“Therefore there is only one way to do so, is to find a partner, a partner in principle of industry, who can create synergies, that can invest, because the state is unable to inject more capital in TAP,” he said.
