The registration is open for the 2025-2026 edition of the AI Accountability Fellowships program, aimed at journalists who investigate the impacts of the focus on algorithmic justice, transparency and civil rights. The deadline for registration runs until August 11th.
Lasting ten months, between September 2025 and July 2026, the program offers financial support of up to US $ 20,000 (about R $ 108,000), as well as individual mentoring, training workshops and participation in a global community with monthly meetings.
Proposals should deal with liability of areas such as algorithmic governance, transparency in automated systems, impacts on public policies and digital exclusion. Projects that combine traditional digital tools, data analysis or documentary investigations are encouraged.
Journalists from anywhere in the world can apply as long as they have experience in, explanatory or data based.
The program especially encourages applications from professionals from developing countries and historically under-displayed groups. It is necessary to ensure the publication of the report in a recognized journalistic environment, upon presentation of an editorial commitment letter.
Entries can be made through the available form.
