President says he will ask for help from the international labor organization to propose a more flexible model
The President (PT) stated on Friday (11.Jul.2025) that he intends to meet with entrepreneurs and unions to discuss the reduction of working hours 6 x 1 (6 working days for 1 rest).
“We can no longer stand up 5 am, then come back 7 pm, barely dinner to sleep, then get up the next day, for 6 days a week. This in my time was an extraordinary thing, but today youth no longer wants that,” declared the petista in an event in Espírito Santo to publicize a new agreement for those affected by the breach of the Mariana Dam (MG).
The petista said that he will seek support from ILO (International Labor Organization) or other work organizations to think about new work proposals to present in this meeting with entrepreneurs and trade unionists.
“You have to invent a way to have another more flexible workday because people want to be more at home, take more care of the family,” said Lula.
