In the United States, after the deadly floods that devastated part of the state of Texas, the southern region of the country will record a moisture pattern this weekend, which brings back the threat of floods.
The focus of the threat of flood will extend from the east of New Mexico, through the west and north of Texas and reaching much of Oklahoma, where the weather forecast center issued a level 2 threat of 4 for excessive rain on Saturday (12) and Sunday (13).
This area includes the village of Ruidos, in New Mexico, which was affected by the
Storms that develop in the region are expected to cause significant rainfall in a short time.
There are large amounts of gulf moisture in the region and the storms will be slow – a bad recipe for Nantes.
Storms will probably have greater impact from Saturday afternoon until night in southwest Oklahoma and northwest Texas.
The vast majority of rainfall will remain north of the tightly hit Kerrville city, but the city and the surrounding areas are level 1 of 4 of threat on Saturday due to the uncertainty of the storm’s location.
Floods in Texas killed more than 120
Last Friday, torrential rainfall caused the water level to grow furiously on the Guadalupe river in dawn of the US Independence Day holiday. The disaster is the deadliest of the nearly six months of the Republican president.
At least 120 people have died and another 160 are still missing – including 150 in harshly hit Kerr County.
