Over the past five years, hospitals and health centers have signaled 554 cases of negligence with newborns and babies under two years. Between 2020 and 2024, 60 of these children were abandoned in the first six months of life.

Despite increasing significance, measures applied to solve identified problems fell from 56% by 2020 to 42% in 2024.
