Rescuers found the bodies of a 33-year-old man and his six-year-old son who lost their last weekend during a trip to the south of Germany, The German police said on Saturday. According to the DPA report, TASR reports this.
The bodies of the deceased were located in the lake Eibsee, the police in the village of Grainau in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district. Investigators assume that the boy fell into the lake from the water step. His father then jumped into the water to save him, but he was no longer. Since then, the authorities have searched for missing persons. Approximately 70 rescuers were deployed on the day of the accident.

The exact circumstances of the incident continue to be unclear. However, the police found no signs of foreign fault. At the time of the incident, there was also a boy’s 34-year-old mother and a four-year-old sister. Psychological assistance was provided both. The family comes from Bavaria, the police added.
