Dan Bongino evaluates to leave office after confrontation with the head of justice, Pam Bondi, about disclosure of documents related to the case
The deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Dan Bongino, reported on Friday (11.Jul.2025) who evaluates to resign from office because of a conflict with the DJ (Justice Department) about the dissemination of the memorandum of the sexual trafficking scheme involving the billionaire, who died in 2019 in the prison.
The situation intensified after a confrontation with the head of DOJ, Pam Bondi, earlier this week, according to information released this Friday (11.Jul.2025).
The conflict between federal agencies would have reached his critical point during a meeting on Wednesday (9.Jul), which included Bongino, FBI director Kash Patel and White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles.
According to CNNBongino and Patel were asked if they would be related to a report that claimed that the FBI wanted to disclose more information, but would have been prevented by the DOJ.
The deputy director denied having leaked information for the, although he did not sign a statement supporting a review in the text.
FBI and DOJ employees have been disagreeing for months of conducting the review of Epstein files.
One of Bongino’s main criticisms is related to a 10 -hour surveillance video recorded outside the Epstein cell on the day of his death, according to the CNN.
The video was discovered by Bongino during weeks of investigation of the case records. After the disclosure, it was observed that the recording had a jump, with 60 seconds cut.
