China and Nepal share a 1400 -kilometer border, international border crossings over the highest mountains in the world, the Himalayas, are only three. Again and again China also makes the boundaries very tight, most recently during the covid pandemic. The transition to Rasuwa is currently the most important limit. The imports that are important for Nepal come mainly into the country. Around 30 to 40 giant trucks screw every day, loaded with all sorts of goods, over the sloping, dusty serpentines from the high plateau to Nepal.
