Just before Air India’s aircraft, the fuel control switches into the engines were switched off. This stems from the preliminary administration of the Indian Office for Investigation of Air Force, which they published on Saturday. It is not yet clear why the switches have been turned off, TASR reports according to AFP report.
The 15-page report does not include concrete conclusions or guilty for an accident from 12 June. According to the document One of the pilots in the cockpit asked the other why he shut down the fuel supply, and he replied he didn’t. Shortly thereafter, the plane began to drop steeply.
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner machine was directed from Ahmadábad in the west of India to London. About 33 seconds after the start, it crashed into the neighborhood of Méghani Nagar in Ahmadabad and hit the student’s boarding house.
There were 242 people on board – In addition to two pilots and ten crew members, 169 Indian citizens, 53 British, seven Portugal citizens and one Canadian. There were also 11 children. 241 people did not survive the accident. The only survivor, 40-year-old Brit, is hospitalized. The tragedy also claimed at least 38 victims among people in the boarding school.
