Slovak tennis player Mia Pohánková triumphed in the junior singles at the Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon. In Saturday’s final she won over the six American Juliete Parejová 6: 3, 6: 1 and achieved life success. Pohánková won the first title from the events of the Big Four and on the grass All England Club followed the last year’s triumph of compatriot Renáta Jamrichová.
The coach of coach Robert Gašparetz became the fourth Slovak champion in the Grand Slam junior single in the era of independence. She imitated Jamrichová, who has two trophies in the collection, triumphed last year at the Australian Open.
