Petrobras (;) confirmed on Friday, 11, via the Securities Commission (CVM), that its Board of Directors elected Angelica Laureano as executive director of energy transition and sustainability. The information was anticipated earlier by Estadão/Broadcast. The management deadline is until April 13, 2027, the same period as other members of the Executive Board.
Angélica Garcia Cobas Laureano has 45 years of experience, including 37 years of work at Petrobras, 21 years in management positions. He worked in the areas of Materials, Supply, Gas and Energy, and exercised the presidency of Gaspetro, Petrobras’ subsidiary in partnership with Mitsui Gás SA, responsible for the management of participation in 19 natural gas distributors in several states of Brazil.
After retirement at Petrobras, he served as a consultant in several projects in the area of natural gas. Currently, he exercises the presidency of the Brazilian carrier Bolivia-Brazil SA pipeline.

With the election of Angelica Laureano, the Petrobras Executive Board will consist of five women and four men, and therefore, for the first time in the company’s history, mostly formed by women.
