The hearing of the Public Security Commission on Wednesday was marked by clashes between the director general of, Andrei Rodrigues and the federal deputy (Novo-RS).
A crash came when Andrei, who was summoned to attend the hearing, said he would take the opportunity to make a “lobby” to the deputies to allocate the committee’s parliamentary amendments to the PF.
He said that the institution also needs this support and support, “with great transparency and clearness,” thanked the opportunity to talk about it, and that “the money of all parliamentarians is very welcome.”
After the request, the committee’s chairman, deputy Paulo Bilynskyj (PL), joked that Van Hattem, known for several public criticisms to the current board of PF, would give $ 25 million to the institution.
Speaking outside the microphone, but facing Andrei, the new deputy said he gave resources when the PF command was composed of “more serious” people. Andrei replied that he was invited to a “high level dialogue”.
In December 2024, Andrei reported that he would have a representation against Van Hattem, which was called “prevaricador, also at a hearing in the House of Representatives. The request was to investigate whether the parliamentarian had committed a crime against his honor. According to the parliamentary’s advisory, this representation never reached him.
Van Hattem had previously been indicted for calling a bandit delegate. At the time, the then president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira, criticized the corporation and said that deputies have parliamentary immunity and can, in their speeches, make statements with broad freedom.
This time, Van Hattem attended a hearing at the Public Security Commission with the Minister of Justice, who talked about the policies of his folders.
