Real Madrid are close to getting another hiring for their defensive system. The Spanish team closed with the 22-year-old left-back Álvaro Carreras from Benfica. The information is from Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
According to Fabrizio, it will pay you the amount of 50 million euros (approximately 325.8 million reais in the current price) to count on the Spanish athlete. He has traveled to Madrid to sign with the merengue club, where he passed the base categories between 2017 and 2020.
Last season, Carreras acted for Benfica, from Portugal. There he played 52 matches, scored four goals and distributed five assists. Before playing in the incarnates, Álvaro belonged to Manchester United, who had the option to cover Real Madrid’s offer, but chose not to do it.
This will be Real’s fourth hiring for the 2025/2026 season of European football. The Spanish club has already been reinforced with English right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, Spanish defender Dean Huijsen and Argentine midfielder Franco Mastantuono.
