What is homemade bird milk? Of course, fluffy like a cloud with vanilla aroma with chocolate coating. However, it does not contain preservatives, so you need to eat them quite quickly, unlike the sweets from the store. However, we are convinced that it will disappear from the plate in the blink of an eye, because it impresses with its taste so much.
Vanilla extract is of great importance in preparing homemade bird’s milk. It is he who gives the sweets a note of vanilla. That is why we should use a good quality product. It can be replaced with vanilla paste.
It doesn’t prevent you from preparing this dessert in a different taste. We can use fruit or coconut aroma, depending on our preferences.
What ingredients do we need to make homemade bird milk?
Foam ingredients:
- 250 ml cream 30 percent;
- 2 proteins;
- 3 tablespoons of water;
- 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar;
- 2 teaspoons of gelatin;
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Ingredients on :
- 100 g of dark chocolate;
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil.
The recipe for homemade bird’s milk is very simple. At the beginning, pour the gelatin with water and set aside until it swells. Then heat it to dissolve.
In the next step, beat the proteins so that a stiff foam is formed. In a separate dish, beat the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Then we combine these two masses and add cooled gelatin to them.
Pour the prepared mass into a flat dish, lined with cling film and put it in the fridge for 3 hours. After this time, we cut the dessert into pieces and immerse each of them in melted chocolate mixed with coconut oil. We cool the finished bird’s milk again so that the topping is concentrated.
Instead of chocolate coating, we can use cocoa sprinkles. For this purpose, we coat each cube in sifted powder.
Before putting the bird’s milk in the fridge, it is worth putting fruit, i.e. raspberries or cherries. They will perfectly break the sweetness of the dessert. We can also use fruit jelly.
Nuts or almonds blend in well with vanilla foam, which give sweets crunchiness. For coffee fans, we recommend adding soluble coffee to the foam mass. Just dissolve 1 teaspoon of this product in 1 tablespoon of hot water. We will then get the taste of espresso.
